Hi,

I have just installed GBPVR and am impressed with what I have seen. I have however got a couple of things that will make my setup perfect.

1. For some reason GBPVR won't record programs selected in the EPG. It records fine if i time slip a program, but not when it is scheduled. Prior to the recording time it can be viewed in the Pending section of the Recordings plugin and sometimes it even says it's recording during the recording period. A folder is created with the name of the program but it's empty. The EPG xml file i'm using was downloaded from a NZ web site and seems to be correct.

Can anyone help me with this. I'm guessing its a setting of some description. I'm using a Hauppauge HVR300 TV card on WindowsXP watching Freeview (DVB-S).

2. The other thing is if I run PVRX2 i cannot see the image. I get the sound ok but no images. It's not a big deal as GBPVR is almost doing everything I want, but it would be nice to have both going.Smile
Thanks in advance

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs?

What video decoder do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app? What videocard are you using?

Sorry, I knew I was going to get these questions. I thought it may have been a simple setting i missed. I'll post what I can tonight when I get home.

Here are the logs from yesterday and today. I tried to record SVU at about 8-8.30 and the Chappell show at 9:30 tonight.

The Video decoder is set to Intervideo NonCSS Video Decoder.
My Graphics card is Nivida GForce2 MX 100/200.

Cheers

I'm no expert, but the logs show an error trying to locate the Cyberlink mux. (and throwing an error) I assume that is what you have selected in the config app. Do you have that mux installed?

(if not sure, run the BDA mux checker from the GBPVR folder in the start menu)
If it tells you that you don't have a mux installed, and you have XP SP2, then select the DVR-MS mux in config.

Also, the PVRX2 problem could be related to your card not being powerful enough for the new interface.
I think this card is only DX7, someone else may be able to confirm what DX compatability you need for PVRX2.

You're trying to use the analog capture side of the HVR3000. You should be using the digital side of this device for freeview.

You should have only one capture source setup, and it should be using the BDA Recording Plugin.

Thanks for that, it's all good now!!

My next mission is to get the appropriate hardware and set it up in my entertainment system.

Most impressed with the GBPVR, keep up the good work.Smile

Thanks again.
