Have attached my logs just in case. DVB channels work fine with zap2it epg updates. Using DVBEPG update the config utility scans the transponders and does the 60 sec count down but the EPG is always empty. I am using 1.08 cuz 1.016 was giving me DVB scanning issues. Tried changing muxes but that made no difference. I also tried upping the harvest time to 120sec but that made no difference. Any suggestions?

Arent you in the US? I'm not aware of any DVB systems with DVB compliant EPGs being used in that part of the world. DishNetwork etc use their own proprietary systems not compatible with GB-PVR.

So how come other DVB software can update the epg from NA sats (e.g. I can get epg with MyTheatre and DVBDream)?

I guess I can always use xmltv update option but it currently has some annoying limitations in NA... Rolleyes

They able to use these EPGs because they've added support for these specific proprietary extensions. I do hope to one day add support for these to GB-PVR but its not been particularly high up the priority list in the past given its proprietary and not easy for me to develop/test from here in NZ.

Cool, no problem - I know you already have a huge to-do list. I can certainly make do with xmltv update option(s). Thanks for the reply and keep up the good work! Smile

I'd like to see this feature some day too. But it's not a huge deal. I'm really appreciative of all the work you do.

Really I'm just happy to see this post so I can get an answer to why my EPG isn't updating and move on to a different method.

Thanks
