Hello all!

I programmed GBPVR to record a football (American) game over the weekend and while the game was on I wanted to watch while recording. To my surprise the game was in black and white! It was a bit fuzzy also. It reminded me of the old TV I grew up with.

I know the problem was not with ESPN because I could switch to the TV tuner and it was nice and clear.

I have been able to record and playback many other programs. However, most of those are 30 min or 1 hour programs. This was the first program that was long (I even extended the post recording approx 1 hour). Is there a file-size issue with super long recordings? Does the program automatically switch to a lower quality recording for long recordings like this?

What would cause the recording to be black and white???

When the game was over, I went to the PC running GBPVR and verified that the issue was with the recording, not my MVP.

I would like to be able to record these programs this season, so any help would be appreciated greatly!

Thanks!!

did you try tuning the channel on livetv after the recording? was it in B&W?

when you set up a recording, you set the quality, this wont change automatically.

do you have any logs that you can post from when the issue happened?

I did view the channel on livetv after the recording was complete and it came through in color.

The default recording quality on my setup is "medium" and I didn't change it for this recording.

I don't have ccess to the system from here, but I would venture to guess that there isn't a log from that recording session. I'll have to check on that tonight.

is the system dedicated? unless you have restarted the frontend and recording service multiple times, the logs should still be around
