I changed from zap2it to schedules direct. The original channels that have recordings have the channel number included in the name. How can I delete the channel number from the name?

You will probably have to edit the db yourself.

But here's an idea..

Export your recordings. It includes the recurring recordings if your are using 1.0.16. (config/Plugins)

Open the devnz/gbpvr/recording-dump.xml in notepad

Edit your channels there.

Import the recording...

If there are still the originals with numbers, remove them from the recordings library

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

If you're just wanting to see the channel number listed in the TV Guide, then set <TVGuideChannelHeaderType>1</TVGuideChannelHeaderType> in config.xml.

I think Zhed has the solution I needed, I will try that and post back the results. I do want the channel number with the name, but only once. Right now, the ones with recordings associated with the channels such as Discovery have the channel number in the far left column then the channel number with the name DSC.

Well, I thought I knew how to export and import. I can't find how to do that now. Was that a plugin from Zhed or something that came with GBPVR?

Funny thing, I had been testing the YApi2XML, Schedules Direct, and I-xmltv. Now all channels have the channel in the name as well as a column for the channel number. Sub's solution will be used now.

dvasco,
Don't know if this is the same case as yours, but I switched to XMLTV from zap2it and emptied the epg, updated it, and ended up with both the old channels from zap2it and the new channels from the xmltv (MSNXML) on my TV Guide. Fixed it by deleting the old channels from the Config app's capture source setup screen and setting the source channel numbers properly for the new channels.

Wasn't that a pain in the rear deleting each channel one by one with a delay between each delete? It was for me and after the 3rd I just deleted the tuner and reinstalled it. I found out after the fact that if I had done a export then import in the config app I would still have my recurring recordings. It would be nice if that were in the wiki.
