My PVR has been extremely stable (Thanks Sub!)

Once in quite a while it fails to record something. The log is attached. I only had it set to "Error" logging so I am not sure it has enough detail, but any help would be appreciated.

It is not a huge issue given it only happens once in awhile, just annoying. If you need more detail I will set the logging to "Debug", but given it doesn't happen very often I didn't want the performance hit. My system is not exactly high end.

Yeah, you'll need to reproduce it with the logging level set to 'Debug', then repost the logs.

Finally caught it. The MVP would not progress beyond the "Connecting to Server" screen. My wife went upstairs to the server, was able to use the remote to go to "restart" in the system menu in GBPVR and everything worked after the reboot. No shows recorded, however.

Sorry for the extensive logs, not sure which applies or the exact time of the fault. It was some time today (24th) probably in the morning. Everything worked about 7:30 or so but not about 2 (when my wife tried to use the MVP).

Thanks!

I cant see any obvious cause in the logs.

Can you check if there is any message about the recording service dying in the Windows Event Viewer?

Strange because I have missed two days worth of _manual_ recordings because the service died Sunday night.

Is there any way that we can get a warning when this happens? The tray icon used to change, but it doesn't anymore. Besides I wouldn't even notice that so the warning has to be bigger.

The event log is attached. It looks like GBPVR and .net are having some kind of error.

Will MVPServerChecker (from Ztools) fix this? Or how about Slimm GBPVR given it restarts the recording service when it crashes?

yep, should work or you can set the recording service to auto restart after failure in windows services.

Excellent idea. I will check the service and make sure it is set to autostart. If it is already Slimm GBPVR here I come.
