I have noticed that when I try and use the stream option on the EWA that it doesn't work. It generates a error page but says it can't be viewed by the remote computer, but I don't really understand how to look at the error or why it is caused. I have tried with both VLC and Windows media with no improvement. I did check the wiki, but didn't see any issues under the EWA tab. Could have missed them as it was late when I checked it. Let me know if you have any ideas?

Thanks,

You might have to open/forward port 7648 for vlc.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Nope,

Still getting the following message. Not quite sure how to set it up so that I can view the error. Here is what I get.

Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Any help would be helpful, Thanks!

This is a generic ASP.net error that you would see on the client computer (that's trying to access the server computer).
You may find a more detailed error message that says exactly what the problem is in the Event Viewer of the server computer, or trying to access EWA from the server computer itself. The Event Viewer is found in the Administrative Tools section of Control Panel.
Hope that helps.

just got mine working...my main problem was windows firewall...you need to tell EWA, Windows Firewall and the router the port to use for BOTH the 7647 (webpage) and 7648 (streaming port) - or whatever ports you use.

E6400, 2 GB RAM ,500 GB + 250 GB HD, PVR150+ Adaptec 3610, RW 2 + HIP, Antec 2480 w/ mini ninja ...still using v 0.99
