Lately my recordings on HVR-900 have a serious stutter every second, rendering them unwatchable.

I have been playing around with various alterations, but have realised that the first recording (after a resume or restart) always exhibits this behaviour, but subsequent ones are fine!

I use my machine in hibernate mode and it resumes for scheduled recordings.
I have tried using wake.cmd to stop/start the recording service and my HVR-900 device, but it still fails. I even tried restarting the machine but the first recording is still faulty. Nothing I try short of leaving the machine on will fix this problem. I have also tried downloading the latest hauppauge drivers.

I also have a PVR-150 and these recordings always work fine.

Anyone experienced something similar with this or another DVB-T device?

Actually it is a little weirder than this.
When the machine is first resumed or restarted, in order to get working recordings, you must first start a recording from the tv guide and then any subsequent scheduled recordings will record fine, so long as the machine is not hibernated in the meantime!

Maybe it is time for a clean install of everything!

Update:
I suspected it was the USB HVR-900 device that didnt like the hibernate/resume sequence.... so I splashed out on a NOVA-T-500. Everything seems to working fine so far.
