I just installed Vista and now GB-PVR is not recording for me. The strange thing is that Live TV is working just fine. When I schedule a recording, it is added to the pending list. But the recording never starts. And it stays in the pending list, even after the program has ended.

For testing purposes, I've only created one source. I've tried it with the PVR-500 and the PVR-350, both with the same result. And both work fine in Live TV.

Do I need to do something with the way the recording service is running in Vista? The service is running.

To conclude positive: the mvpmc dongle seems much faster in Vista than XP.

Unless it's something simple (ie.you are recording to the default c:\temp which would need to be created) you probably should upload your logs. I didn't have to do anything special for the recording services.

Sorry, but I'm not suggesting it's mvpmc, since I've scheduled the recordings from my PC. The problem is Vista. What am I doing wrong with my setup?

I know it's didn't sound like a mvpmc problem but I'm a Vista user too. Most of my Vista problems are solved by deleting c:\users\<account>\AppData\local\VirtualStore\program files\devnz\gbpvr.db3

Your logs don't show me what I was looking for because you don't seem have the log flushing enabled.

I read your post in the middle of the night, and obviously I wasn't very clear in my head. Your username just makes me think of mvpmc Smile. But you're right: there is a gbpvr.db3 file in that directory. When I delete it, it return automaticly. I've enabled log flushing and uploaded another logs.zip.

After reading some more posts about VirtualStore, I've got it working now. I did a fresh install of Vista and created a user with normal authorizations. After this I installed GB-PVR as administrator and ran config as administrator. Next, I changed the properties of gbpvr.db3, so all users are allowed to change it.

Finally I started GB-PVR as the user without administrator rights, created a recording and looked at the litle recording icon on the bottom right... It changed from white to green!!! I'm happy again Smile . Thanks for the help.
