I have been a longtime GB-PVR user, and I recently upgraded from 0.99.12 to 1.0.16. I upgraded my hardware to a completely new configuration, and I also switched from XP to Vista Ultimate (32-bit). My new HTPC config is:

MSI P35 NeoR-FR
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300
1GB DDR2-800
NVidia DualTV NTSC
LeadTek Geforce 6200

So far, I really like the new UI of 1.0.16. It looks very nice. The problem I have is that LiveTV is not working. Since I made so many changes, it’s not clear to me what got broken. My 1.0.16 install is a fresh install as this machine never had 0.99.12 on it.

Looking at the logs, I see this:
Code:
2007-09-30 23:21:36.983    VERBOSE    ConexantRecorder::StartRecording(1, 1, 11, 0)
2007-09-30 23:21:36.983    VERBOSE    target filename:
2007-09-30 23:21:36.983    VERBOSE    getSetting(DeinterlaceMethod)
2007-09-30 23:21:36.983    VERBOSE    Capture Device is based on BlackBird architecture
2007-09-30 23:21:36.983    VERBOSE    Capture Device is using Conexant (derived) drivers
2007-09-30 23:21:36.983    VERBOSE    Loading filter names
2007-09-30 23:21:36.983    VERBOSE    Found names:
2007-09-30 23:21:36.999    VERBOSE    NVIDIA DualTV CrossBar
2007-09-30 23:21:36.999    VERBOSE    NVIDIA DualTV Capture
2007-09-30 23:21:36.999    VERBOSE    NVIDIA DualTV Tuner
2007-09-30 23:21:36.999    VERBOSE    NVIDIA DualTV TVAudio
2007-09-30 23:21:36.999    VERBOSE    FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: NVIDIA DualTV CrossBar
2007-09-30 23:21:36.999    ERROR    Failed to find Crossbar filter

I am not sure why this error is occurring, as I have installed the NVidia DualTV drivers.

Watching TV in Windows Vista MCE does work.

Any help would be appreciated. Anyone else using the DualTV in Vista?

Thanks.

I am also attaching my logs here. The .ZIP includes the FilterCheck.log too.

Perhaps this is some sort of user/administrator problem?

looks like it should be Crossbar (lowercase b)
maybe try changing the .ini file and see if that helps?

Thank you! That got me further. Now I get:

Where do I look to match these names?

Its hard to tell, but I think this line:

PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Audio In

should be:
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In

...to match the names used by the drivers you seem to be currently using.

OK - I tried this, and now the error is a bit different:

I guess NVidia changed the names of these filters in the Vista drivers? I am using the standard 2.02 release of the drivers from here

Zip and attach the whole log file and I'll see if anything stands out.

Sorry, sub - I know this particular card has been the source of trouble for you.

Attached are a whole set of logs. The logs I posted earlier in thread have the FilterCheck.log file.

It might also need:

PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=Video Out

Or maybe:

PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=Audio Capture
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=Video Capture

... I'm not really sure.
