BurnDVDX2 is a port to V1.x of tmrt’s BurnDVD plugin with a couple of new features:
  • Comskip chapters generation.
  • Subtitle generation.
  • ISO burning.
  • Menu Pictures.
  • DVD titling.
  • Description, Episode, Title, DateTime used from GBVPR database if available.
  • Burn progress indicator.
The original features have been ported to the new V1.x interface.
Thanks to tmrt and pbs for ideas and code and Java Wiz for his wiz developer tools which this plugin is based on.

You may have to close the tray app if the installation won't install one of the shared dlls. The recording service is stopped and restarted as part of the installation as well.

The installation zip is available on the wiki page at:

I'm very interested in this plugin. Does it work on a MVP while having a DVD burner in a Windows 2003 server?

My GBPVR Pc is somewhere else in my house and I use a MVP in the living room.

I think it will work ok on the MVP, but I don't know about having the burner networked. Does it show up in config as available?

Thanks, using JavaWiz's development tools made it a lot easier to port.
Btw,
I use a USB based burner that I share with the kids. Pretty convenient.

Haven't tried the plugin yet. I do know that the normal DVD function in GBPVR doesn't work when working with MVP. So I can not watch a DVD from GBPVR.

Basicly I record shows (and watch them) and play MP3's using GBPVR with a MVP. So this would be a nice option to have. Sometimes I want to burn a TV show so I can play it somewhere else on a normal DVD player.

Maybe someone has tested this?

If the drive doesn't work directly, you can create an iso from the tool and then use the burner of your choice to create the dvd on your networked drive.

Is there any chance that this can be made to work with gbpvr 1.0.16?

it doesn't appear in the menu, I guess it's related to the skin..

looks awesome

That's what I tested it on. Shouldn't have anything to do with the skin. Did you run the config app?

just to clarify. I mean does it work with gbpvr.EXE rather than pvrx2.

I've just realised that the clue is probably in the name....sorry!

I'll have a play with pvrx2 (where is does appear)
