Hi,

is there something special with this combination? I just moved the card from my old Windows XP machine to the new one running Vista.

Vista automatically installed drivers 1.18.21.23257 and insists on them beeing optimal. Do I have to install the complete Hauppauge software? WindowsMCE regognized the new tuner card and was able to record and do live tv.

But I would prefer using GB-PVR. I configured the card the same way as I did on the XP machine, but to no avail: Live tv is allways a blank screen. Recordings are defective .mpg files.

The tuning assistent finds all channels after complaining about not beeing able to connect the audio pins - I've already heard that that is normal.

Basically GB-PVR does work on the Vista machine: There is built in card (AverMedia M779) and I managed to configure it to work with GB-PVR.

thanks in advance for any help!

I think MCE is your problem. Just today I asked if it possible to run MCE and GBPVR at the same time: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=30182

After setting up MCE, I get the same black screen on my Hauppauge cards (PVR500 and PVR350).

Thanks, disabling the "Windows Media Center Tuner" Service did the trick! Smile
Interesting, when WindowsMCE accesses the AverMedia M779 only, it did not interfere with GB-PVR.
