EPG not updating automatically

I have v1.16 and a schedulesdirect membership. I can update EPG manually through the config app and everything works fine. But I leave it for a few days and I start getting "no show info".

Whats even weirder...I think that on my PC running GBPVR the EPG data is fine and gets updated...but on the MVP no dice...is that possible???

And, from the MVP I tried to record Biggest Loser tonight (I looked in TV Guide, found show, said to "record once") and my wife says, "Hey, did you record something called El Gordo y La Flaca on channel 17?" We figured out it was Biggest Loser from channel 9. Am I going nuts?

View the TV Guide on the PC then on the MVP, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

There is a lot in the attached logs...but hopefully this has something to help determine what is going on. For the misnamed recording you can search for stuff on Oct 9 around 8:00pm when I tried to record Biggest Loser but got El Gordo y La Flaca...the actual recording was ok...in english too, but the title was wrong

So that I can look into this one specific item, without having to wade through heaps of crap in the logs, can you restart the software then view the TV Guide on the PC then on the MVP, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. This way the most recent logs will only contain this.

The most recent stuff in your logs was viewing live tv and all sorts of other stuff. It makes it too hard to know where to look.

I actuall figured that would be your answer...shame on me for giving you crappy logs. I'll have to wait until the boss is done with tv watching for the evening.

I have the same issue. I can manually go to the capture source and update the EPG by hand with no issues, but if I just let the PC run, it will not go get the EPG from Schedules Direct. I keep getting "no show data" or somesuch. This worked before I went to Schedules Direct when Zap2It was the source. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you page down through the TV guide until it wraps around to the top, do any of the channels have listings? Some users have had listings on the bottom set of channels and I'm wondering if you're one of these.

My gosh sub you are fast in reply! Do you camp out at the computer or do you really get to have some fun outside GBPVR? (I hope so).

I assume you mean when I see "no channel data" message if I roll down to the end and wrap do I then see the new data - kind of like stacked? I just updated the EPG before posting, so I will have to wait a week and see if it behaves as you asked.

I wondered if it had something to do with the number of days you ask for. I normally was asking for 14 days of EPG. I just tried knocking it down to 7. I don't know how many SchedDirect will provide at one shot.

I am also having this issue.
Everything worked until the update to 1.0.16 and change to SD.
I have installed the Native patch and the wake up patch but neither have changed the failure.
What I have been doing is shutting down GBPVR, going into config, manually running the update and rebooting and the guide is populated.

What I have found in the past 36 hours of trying different things is that all I need to do is restart GBPVR and all the data is there. SO, the updates from SD @ 2:00am are working but GBPVR is not populating the guide with the data, except on a restart of GBPVR.
FYI, I am running 1.0.16, using PVRX2 and all other things are running GREAT !

I just prior to this post did the change in the SD login box for my 2 lineups, ie ....
mylogin;DITV575:-
mylogin;PC:30736

I will not know for another 24 hours if this worked or not.

If any logs are needed, let me know which one and I will send it.

I've just noticed what I think is the same thing as dart394 - if I don't restart PVRX2, then new listings don't show up. Other tv guide plugins such as TV Listings or XGuide do seem to be seeing the updated data, and my nightly job that runs PriorityRecordings is scheduling recordings. I don't need to restart the whole machine, just the front end.

I'm using the zap2it scraper to populate XMLTV.
