Thanks for this pointer. Greatly appreciate this.
Changed the line in config.xml from true to false with <ChannelChangeWithoutEnterKey>false</ChannelChangeWithoutEnterKey>
But the channel changes in LiveTV still happen without pressing the Enter key.
Is there one more step that I must do for the modifications in the config.xml to be recognised?
(I stopped and restarted the Recording Service, tried rebooting, started config.exe and exited as well. But the program does not seem to read this change)

Is this with gbpvr (old) or pvrx2(new) ? Could be that it only applies to the old version.
Edit: I tested: on my system it only works for gbpvr, the old interface. In pvrx2 it keeps changing channel directly after the number has been pushed.

Been trying to do this for PVRX2.
Thanks for the note. I guess this can't be done for PVRX2.
(Somehow, it also doesn't work for me with GBPVR as well)
I was trying to see if I could get GBPVR to change channels like how BeyondTV could.
Which was:
For BeyondTV, while watching LiveTV, if I click on the Channel Up or Channel Down,
the PVR can be configured where it shows the description of the program for the next channel, but won't actually change the channel yet. This would allow Channel Up and Channel Down to show details of the desired channel first, and only to change to that channel when the user pressed OK or pressed the Enter key.
For GBPVR, if I want to move 5 channels forward with Channel Up. GBPVR will need to change through each channel one by one before reaching the 5th Channel - which is slow because of the channel change speed. Somehow for me, when I've Channel Up to 5 channels, Descriptions of all 5 channels can be shown and displayed in 2 seconds, but the channel changes lags behind, and I can see the channel changing one-by-one. The lag can be as long as 30 seconds before it reaches the target channel.
Not ideal, but the workaround for me to avoid going through each channel one-by-one using GBPVR is
1) to enter the Number of the channel directly to jump 5 channels ahead, or
2) to Escape back to the TV Guide and jump to the desired channel.
