And again I'm plagued by a duplicate channel that I somehow picked uo. I have had this problem two times before and still don't know what to do about it. My solution the previous times was a fresh install, after which everything was ok. For a while, because now I have it again (with a different channel this time). There must be an easier way to solve this...

I get the following ERROR in the log (and the TV Guide shows only an empty line):

Quote:2007-10-14 17:42:38.062 VERBOSE [4] About to load listings for: SBS 6
2007-10-14 17:42:38.093 VERBOSE [4] Listings loaded for: SBS 6
2007-10-14 17:42:38.093 VERBOSE [4] About to fill gaps. Next shows starts at: 10/14/2007 6:15:00 AM
2007-10-14 17:42:38.093 VERBOSE [4] Gaps removed...
2007-10-14 17:42:38.109 ERROR [4] unexpected error loading channel listings: System.ArgumentException: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: '294' Key being added: '294'

at GBPVRX2.xb654004a5183e7df.x1e925a3c490d31f1()

The error occurs for one channel only (SBS 6); the other channels are fine. The xmltv file (included with logs) shows no extraordinary things for this particular channel.

What I have already tried is removing the channel from the capture sources and the channel list and then re-adding it using the update EPG feature. The problem just comes back. Has anyone see this before or have a suggestion?

I'm using a Dutch XMLTV grabber written in Python (http://visualisation.tudelft.nl/~paul/grabber/ for those interested). How could that be of influence? It's output seems to conform to the xmltv standard (the xml file is in the Logs.zip file of the first post).

Just a stab in the dark, but are you sure there isn't a slight mismatch in channel names; e.g. SBS6 as against SBS 6? I have a similar problem in UK with Film4, but it hasn't irritated me enough to fix it.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I have checked many times and it's "SBS 6" everywhere. IMHO it could not be wrong, since all data essentially comes from one place, being the xmltv file. In that file, the channel name occurs only once.

Its because your xmltv client is generating some broken data, specially show end times that are before start time. For example:

Code:
<programme start="[b]20071021074500[/b] +0200" stop="[b]20071020090000[/b] +0200" channel="19" >
    <title lang="nl">Motorsport</title>
  </programme>

Why didn't I see that? Maybe, because the file is so damn big. I did use the tv_validate_file feature of xmltv, but apparently that doesn't check for weird stop times.

Anyhow, I hacked around in the tv_grabber perl script so that it makes sure that the stop-day is not before the start-day. This solved my problem!

Thanks sub!

PS: I wonder why GBPVR was not bothered by my broken xmltv file and PVRX2 was.

PS2: For the dutch users: this is really a grabber you should check out, because it caches the detailed descriptions of programs, speeding up the download process considerably (my update takes 20 mins daily). Apparently, there is still a mistake in the caching, but with a simple fix that can be solved; I'm still looking for a more preventive solution. PM me if you'd like my current fix.

The specific bit that didnt like it was the logic that fills gaps in the listings with "(No Show Details)". GBPVR.exe didnt have this logic and just showed gaps. Regardless of whether you're using GBPVR.exe or PVRX2.exe, this is clearly a problem with the xmltv grabber, and neither would have been able to record these shows.

I totally agree that the grabber is faulty.

No offense meant though, I was just wondering... my mind just does that Big Grin
