Yesterday I opened PVRX2 to choose shows to watch for the week. Windows (I assume) displayed a box saying something like "Please wait while Windows configures GBPVR", then PVRX2 opened as usual. Unfortunately, the EPG guide was showing channels from my old setup, and when I went into Recordings to look at my recurring recordings, I noticed it was showing a bunch of shows I had removed a few weeks earlier.
So, I exit PVRX2 and opened the config app. That's when I discovered my capture sources had all been reset to the way I had them a few weeks ago. I had to make a mad dash to reconfigure all my sources before the evenings shows started recording.
I have "system restore" turned OFF in Windows. I'm using GBPVR 1.0.16, but I used to experience similar problems with prior versions that would erase the changes I made to the skin files.
Why is this happening, and how can I stop it? Setting up the capture sources and mapping the digital channels is a slow and laborious process. Are there specific files these settings are saved in that I can back up and restore if the problem occurs again?
On a related note, it would be nice if the "Update EPG" selection when right clicking the tray icon would show some kind of display to let you know it's busy working on something. I use I-xmltv and currently have to open task manager to watch and see when xmltv.exe and pvrx2.exe finally shut down. It doesn't even need a progress display, just a box showing it's working would be sufficient.
Thanks,
Anthony
