while watching tv channel will change on it's own

While I'm watching pvrx2, the channel will change one up or one down, based on how I last changed channels. has anyone else seen this?

I have tried hiding my remote thinking maybe it's randomly sending out signals , but it still does it.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. Also let me know what time the problem occurred so I know where to look in the logs.

I was watching CNN on channel 31, and the tv changed itself to channel 32.

Also I'm not sure if the logs will show this, but everytime I quit PVRx2, I get a PVRX2 crashed message.

According to your logs it changed channels because you pressed a key. If you dont think you did, then its probably something to do with your remote receiver detecting ambient IR light as a remote key press, or you have a wireless keyboard that is somehow generating this event by itself.

or a window that is close to a neighbors window.

a friend of mine had a TV that started going nuts one day.
discovered his neighbor had just bought a TV of the same brand, and the signal was going through the windows.
he rearranged the room and put the TV on a different wall and all was fixed.

One of my pvr boxes is in my bedroom, on the back of my house surrounded by woods, all of my remotes were put away so as to not be anywhere near the tv, and it still changed channels.

Hauppauge suggested I remove all drivers and reinstall and it still did it.

So now I'm not sure what to do.

In both rooms I use those low power phillips floresent(spelling) bulbs, would they do it?

Here is an update, I covered up my IR receiver with a static bag, to make sure nothing could get to it, and the channel still changed, so I switched the channel back, and unplugged the IR dongle, and the channel hasn't changed since I did that.

I'm very confused, and this is a royal pain so I'm not sure what to do.
