Wonder it would be possible/these are big enough for a gbpvr client or some sort of mvp client.

I think emulation mode could run on this and it is sufficient for SD mpeg 2, and maybe even divx and wmv without needing to be transcoded. However, unless you wanted something with a built in screen I don't think it is a great target. I've been reading about it for a while and it is still interesting and I do want to see one.

A cut down vesion of xp should work fairly well...not sure if it would deal with pvrx2 very well, but then hook it up to an LCD screen - sweet!!

There is one of these laptops at work, the user put xp on it and it plays divx files well. I can't see why it would not work as a client pc, but the screen isn't something I would want to look at for long periods of time. It has a celeron 900mhz cpu im told.
