I was wondeing why the number press and skip works in seconds, why not minutes? ie at the moment you can type a number up to 999 and press forward or backward skip and it will skip that number of seconds. I assume it is for ad skipping? Why not make this minutes so it becomes a useful way of navigating to a particular point in a file? It will still be useful for ad skipping, at least here in Australia it would as you cannot prdict to any more accurate than a minute how long an ad break will last (the stations seem to have adopted a strategy of randomising the lengths of ad breaks, presumably to frustrate ad skippers).

I used seconds because I like to be able to jump in seconds. I'm often jumping 150 seconds.

Any possibility you could add a checkbox in the config to select whether you want it to work in minutes or seconds?

When navigating large files from the MVP, fast forward is too slow and skip is too interactive. I would definitely like some mechanism for larger skips or even absolute time scans.

Thanks for this thread guys. I didn't realise this feature existed. Very useful although I too would prefer minutes rather than seconds or the option to go beyond 999 seconds.

Can you change the default skip of 60 seconds? I see where you can change the small skip if you enable it but not the big skip. I know you can enter a number and then skip but I don't want to do that all the time.

By the way, I have been having problems with SageTV so I am now looking at GB-PVR. So far, it is really nice and I REALLY like the integration with the MVP. Great work!
