I had a strange problem yesterday with two recordings on PVR-2 that stopped about half way through, but the PVR never released the tuners.
Two shows were scheduled to start at 13:59 (Fast Money, and Taking Stock). They would normally run through 15:01 (an hour, for the military time challenged ), and be approximately 1.4GB in size (low quality).
What I got was the front of each show for about 20-30 minutes, and file sizes of a little under 500KB. In addition to the truncated files, the Recording Status showed the two tuners still being used for those programs at 18:10 hours! The computer had not hung up, as I was able to look at the status and poke through the drive folders without difficulty.
Now, silly me, instead of just trying to restart the Recording Service, I rebooted the computer, so the logs got chopped off at that point. The new log files pick up after the reboot.
It looks to me as if the first show was actually stopped by GBPVR, but not the second. There's still no clue why the recording files stopped growing after the first 20-30 minutes. It wasn't due to lack of space, as there is still 30GB available on the drive.
The PVR worked fine last night after the reboot, recording a different show and today recorded Fast Money and Taking Stock just fine.
