This probably a super stupid question.

But i did a recording about a week ago without the comskip files in the gbpvr directory. I then installed the comskip files and installed comTool and burndvdx2.

When i use either plugin and navigate to the folder where the recorded mpeg is located, nothing exists in that directory!

when i use windows explorer or play back the recording plugin it's there and works perfectly.

Am i being an idiot. Does comskip need to run on the mpeg first to be recognised by burndvdx2 and other com applications?

thanks for all your help.

It should show it but only if the extension is mpg. It will not show dvr-ms or avi (if you transcoded it)

My video recording is set to system default and the files are being saved as .mpeg NOT .mpg.

Does this also make a difference?

I have a Hauppuage TD-500 and a seperate DVD sofware and nero software installed. What would you guys recommend as using for a recording hardware / software?

I know these are simple questions..... sorry
