I have two Hauppauge Nova-S Satellite tuners. All my recordings are being recorded by both tuners so I end up with two copies of every show. I have upgraded from 1.0.16 to 1.1.5, and earlier versions before that. I have tried setting up the recordings via MVP and PVRX2. Have also tried deleting cards and reconfiguring them, and still get doubled up recordings. Any ideas appreciated!

Yes, in BDA Device Configuration I have device number 1 for one, and device number 2 for the other. Thanks.

When I check 'only show devices in this machine' it drops the list down to three items:

Hauppauge Nova S-Plus
Hauppauge Nova-SE2
Hauppauge HVR-3000(DVB-S)

you selected the nova s-plus for one card and the nova se2 for the other? or which ever cards are the dvb-s ones
sounds like they use different drivers so you may not need to select device#1 and device #2 as they seem to have different names
im not sure exactly but try it

check where both cards are getting their epg from. The epg in nz there are two places that tv1, 2 and 3 are listed, both in freeview and sky. You may have selected a different one for each tuner.. I had this problem.

Both of my cards are Nova S-Plus cards. When I check 'only show devices in this machine' in the BDA Device Configuration it drops the device type list down to three items:

Hauppauge Nova S-Plus
Hauppauge Nova-SE2
Hauppauge HVR-3000(DVB-S)

Card 1 is configured as Hauppauge Nova S-Plus, set as device #1
Card 2 is configured as Hauppauge Nova S-Plus also, set as device #2.

Both cards are set to 'DVB EPG Broadcast' for the EPG Source.

I haven't tried selecting different device types as suggested yet. Wife is watching so I'll try that later, unless there are any other suggestions.

Cheers.

The only way i could suggest verifying my theory is to look at the gbpvr-recordingservice-native log and check the tuning request given to both cards....if they are different then my theory is what is happening.

Failing that, post all your logs and sub will probably have a look

the only show devices on this machine is showing 3 devices i dont know why maybe one is getting 2 names

but card 2 should be something like
hauppauge Nova-SE2 device #1 if that doesnt work try device #2
or
hauppauge hvr-3000 device #1 if that doesnt work try device #2

i dont have the card so i dont know what should be showing
im petty sure this is what you need to change good luck

sucks waiting to change stuff then i get told off for coming to bed at 2am Smile
