Is there any way to invoke a mux on a dvr-ms file and convert it to an mpeg file, manually? I have had GBPVR invoke the mux but the result was an mpeg file that had a terrible audio/video sync problem and the original dvr-ms files gets deleted. Currently, recording and playback of dvr-ms files works fine. But I want to be able to edit out commercials for some movies that I want to keep. I (mistakenly) purchased TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 2.0 to do this. But working with dvr-ms files and that program takes the patience of Job. It can take over 2 minutes just to move 8 frames. But performance is fine when using mpegs.

I just want to test creating mpegs using GBPVR without loosing my dvr-ms files until I find one works ok.

Assuming you have the Cyberlink mux installed, then you can use the 'transcode' feature in the Video Library to make a .mpg file from a .dvr-ms file. Your original file will be left in place.

I am a bit confused. I have regisiter a mux. It is listed in the BDA Multiplexers drop down box. I have selected a dvr-ms file and click on transcode, but nothing seems to happen.

Do you have the Cyberlink mux installed? DVR-MS conversion can only use the Cyberlink mux, not other muxes.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I just did a test with auto conversion of dvr-ms to mpeg. That worked, although my video and audio get out of sync. I am just trying to find which mux seems to work.
