After upgrading to a new 22" HP w2207h widescreen monitor , and jumping from 1024x768 to 1680x1050, GB-PVR doesn't work for me anymore. I get an empty window when the program launches, filled with whatever image is on my desktop.

Anybody have any ideas what the problem is? I checked the log files and everything seems fine. I get the impression the app is running but I just can't see anything?

Cheers,

Chris

Its possible your video card doesnt have enough video memory to handle the larger texture memory requirements of running at this increased resolution.

What video card do you have? (though there isnt likely to be anything I can do other than suggesting a different video card)

Think you hit the nail on the head...dropping to 1024x768 brings back gbpvr and as you guessed I am running a crappy Intel 82865g Integrated Chipset on a Dell Dimension 3000. I needed to do a bit of giggery pokery to get 1680x1050 in the first place.

To be honest I only use the gbpvr epg and recording service, is there some way to lessen the gui to achieve this?

BTW...if you are 'admin' because you are part of the gbpvr team, thanks! It's an excellent solution.

Try applying the attached patch, and add <InternalRenderResolution>1024x768</InternalRenderResolution> to your config.xml.

Thanks, but no joy. I applied the patch and edited the config.xml but I still have the same issue.

Cheers,

With that patch applied, can you try again then zip and attach your PVRX2.exe.log and PVRX2.exe-native.log?

Still get an empty window after applying patch, here are the logfiles.

Graphics chipset Intel 82865G, 96Mb allocated memory.

Many thanks,

Chris

Set the logging level back to debug, then try again, and zip and attach your PVRX2.exe.log and PVRX2.exe-native.log files.
