Sound but no video after graphics card upgrade

Hiya,

I've been using GBPVR for six months with Freeview in NZ on an AverTV card with no issues. Recently my video card on my computer died and I have now replaced it with a 9800 GTX+ (from a 8800 GTS 320). Now whenever I try to view a channel I get the audio perfectly, but no video. It's a completely black screen (but it does show the overlay with the program information).

I have tried reinstalling GB PVR, and Power DVD 7.3, but neither have fixed it. Also, the TV works fine in the AverTV program, however that has tearing issues with the video (and always has). Updated graphics card drivers were installed with the new video card.

Other (non-TV) video in GB PVR displays fine.

try changing the settings under encoder-pass through /live preview (misc tab)

I have changed encoder pass through, none of the options make any difference (none, encoder pass-through, ffdshow raw filter, Alperysoft deinterlace filter).

In case it helps, I'm using the following NVidia driver version: 6.14.11.7813 (178.13 drivers).

Yes, and if I turn it off it gives me a black screen when I switch to Live TV, then goes back to the menu. Having the option on just gives me the usual sound but no video.

What H264 video decoder do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app?

There have been some reports of the newest versions of the Cyberlink H.264 refusing to work in third party apps. This might be the problem here.

Reproduce problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Try the MPC-HC 264 codec... guess the problem might have been solved after a year... .
