Hi,

A couple of questions:

1. Does anyone know a way to define rules to delete recorded shows? (using age, quota etc) These days I have to clean up my harddisk once every few days.

2. From within GB-PVR, Is there a way to delete all eposides under a show? For example, I have 20 recordings under NBC News. (manual recording) When I delete them, I have to bring up each recording and delete one by one. Would be nice if I can delete them all together. I can delete all the files on the harddisk at once, but still has to clean up within GB-PVR.

Thank you for your help in advance!

The only built-in auto deletion logic is when you schedule a recording and tell it to keep a maximum of X recordings. For that season recording, when X recordings has been reached each new recording will cause the deletion of the oldest episode.

If you delete a season recording from the 'Recurring' list in the Recordings screen it'll delete all the episodes associated with that season recording. Other than that you have to delete the episodes manually.

Thanks. I think it would be nice to have a "catch up" feature. I really don't want to delete a season recording, but probably won't want to watch all what has recorded. It just time consuming to delete one at a time. Smile

so when you get rid of the season recording schedule for a show, it DEletes the files??!! not behavior i knew about, or want..
or do you mean just the info in recordings screen? Smile
still wouldn't want to have my data go poof, like say when a series ends, and you haven't seen them all yet, you'd want to keep the info till it wasn't needed..

seems like you should have to delete them manually, cuz as-is, you have no choice or possibility to do otherwise if you want to keep info and delete series sched. to stop recording new shows..tho i guess you could re-import from backups..

to delete a whole series, you could go into video library and hit delete on the subdir....but i guess that wouldn't get rid of the recording screen info..you'd have to do that manually...[not too hard cuz only buttons showing will be delete and close, just hit enter repeatedly on those shows]

Sorry, miss info on my part. When you delete a season recording it deletes all the pending episodes for that recording not those episodes already recorded. My brain wasnt working in the previous post.
