Unable to change channels with haupblast

I've seached, but haven't seen anyone with this issue.

I have a Hauppage HVR-1600. It's working using my Motorola STB and composite inputs. I cannot get PVRX2 to change the channels with haupblast. It sends the right info (looked at the logs) and the transmitter flashes, but the channel doesn't change. I then tried GBPVR just to see what would happen, and it's able to change the channels. So I'm a bit confused as to why PVRX2 doesn't work.

I can change channels by running haupblast manually, so I don't think it's a config problem, plus the fact that it works in the old version.

Just checked and the remote works in GBPVR but not PVRX2 also (to control the program, still doesn't change the channels in PVRX2).

Any suggestions?

If its able to change channels when you manually run haupblast.exe, then I cant think of any reason it cant change channels when GB-PVR runs haupblast.exe. Maybe check you have the correct channel numbers listed next to each channel in the capture source channel list.

Yeah, I sort of had a feeling this is what I'd hear. Everything is setup right (channels are correct in the config and showing correctly in the logs when I change the channel) and it works with the old version which is what gets me. And the fact that the LED blinks like it's changing the channel, just no response from the STB in PVRX2, but does work in GBPVR.

I'll keep on it and see what I can figure out.

There is no difference between how GBPVR.exe and PVRX2.exe do it. Infact they run all the same code for doing these channel changes. (in the shared GBPVRBackendCommon.dll)

Rebooted the machine and it (and the remote) now works. Why didn't I try that before? (seems to fix lots of weird problems, but I didn't do it).

Ok, now I just have the "PVRX2 has stopped working" message when I exit the program. This is on a vista machine.

edit: just did a search on new error and saw the "fix".

Even though the signal strength and quality are all in the green, I keep getting the "Signal Not strong enough" message when I try to change the channel. I get channel 7 perfectly, but if I try to change to anything else, I get the error (am currently watching the 'not strong enough' channel on a different program, and the signal strength and quality are both pegged out at 100%) But the other program is prone to fits and lock ups, so I would really like to get this fixed?
