Hi,

Is there any way to change the default recording format for hd to .mpg or .ts. I want to be able to record these files (hd) with gbpvr but view them over my network using BTV Link (gbpvr client doesn't support streaming hd content). The msrtv (dvr-ms) format does not work with BTV Link. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

The mux you're using dictates the type of file you end up getting.

For example if you use the 'TS Mux' option you'll record a .ts file. If you use the ATI mux you'll get a .mpg file.

Its the mux setting on the misc tab of the config app.

For the ATI or Cyberlink mux to show up as option you'd have have these muxes installed.

thanks, the cyberlink option didn't produce a picture, but I was able to get .ts output using ts mux option. Is there a website where I can get muxes? possibly a working cyberlink mux.

Some users put together this archive of muxes: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=25630

You need to make sure you de-register any old versions of the Cyberlink muxes when you install a new one otherwise it'll continue to use the old version.

hd Does work over client...! i use it all the time...even timeshift..
but i mux to .mpg with ati mux...[atsc]
dvrms won't work on anyone's system really..isn't very streamable at all..

i also use hauppauge/mainconcept DEmux also, not the standard ms one..works better for me with HD content..[playbakc only]
