Odd recording issue with two capture devices

I added a second capture device a month or so ago (a DVB USB stick), and since then I've noticed a couple of oddities when I record two shows at once (I believe this is the only situation when the second device would be used).

The programmes are often (perhaps always - can't be sure) listed as manual recordings - they usually have the programme name, followed by "_manualrecording". And, when viewing the recording details, there's none of the information from the EPG included (channel, description, etc).

I'm wondering if I need to use a second EPG file (I use XMLTV) for the second device - I currently have both devices using the same EPG file. Or is this a red herring, and it's something completely different?

Red herring. There is only one epg file.
