OK, I finally got my Phoenix cardreader working and now I'm trying to set up a multidec plugin. I've placed mdapifilter.ax and FFDecsa.dll in the gbpvr directory, registered mdapifilter.ax, activated multidec in config and added a multidec plugin (Yankse) in the MDplugins directory.
Now my question is: even if my multidec plugin setup is totaly wrong, shouldn't I still be seeing an Icon in the tray when I'm trying to view an encrypted channel? Right now, nothing appears, so I'm kind off lost here. Could this be a Vista problem?

yes.

Lets step back a bit here. You mentioned your mdapifilter etc and the plugin (yankse) but what is the plugin talking to?

If so is it? You can normally see a message, and when you start it you should see it reading your card.

Hi psycik,
I've got newcs to read my card and it's setup as a radegast server. I can see it's reading my subscription card. But shouldn't I be seeing the plugin in the tray, even if it's not talking to newcs? Or do I first need a correct setup? I'm trying to find out if GBPVR is giving problems or newcs.

Where did you get mdapifilter.ax from, or do you know what version it is? There are a few versions floating around, and I know that one of them looks for the multidec plugins in a different directory name.

yeah i think so. You've got the obvious like 'Enable MDAPI plugins' in the config app?? Post your recordingservice-native logs and I can at least try and help you until sub responds/gets back.

You're right, he's amazing!

I downloaded the files from http://www.hyperlinkx.com/pmwiki/pmwiki....DecAPI.zip

And I've set the flag in config for multidec plugin support. But I think this might have something to do with it:
Code:
2008-02-05 22:07:48.691    VERBOSE    FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Agarwal's MDAPI filter
2008-02-05 22:07:48.714    VERBOSE    FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: MDAPI Filter
2008-02-05 22:07:48.714    INFO    MDAPI Filter not found. Disabling MDAPI support.
I've executed the batch file that comes with the .ax file to register it. What can I do to register is in the right way? Thanks for your help, BTW.

The zip you supplied the link to looks ok. If you try running the following manually do you get any error?

regsvr32 c:\path\to\mdapifilter.ax

Yeah, I get an error about a failure with the dllregisterserver 0x80070005. Any ideas? I'll see your answer tomorrow, thanks!
