Try the Microsoft DVR-MS mux to see if it helps. It seems to be the best behaved of all the muxes.

and now I've gone full circle!
Burndvdx2 doesn't burn my MPEGS, because they have a timestamp problem - when I retime them they often lose sync. I can't use another format, as in the end they need to be MPEG to burn to DVD! ARGH!!!

lol
Sorry, I cant really help you with that one. I've never burnt a single recording to DVD.

@philip1982 - try as sub suggests and have a go with the dvr-ms option then transcode to mpeg2.
I use dvr-ms to record and have gbpvr auto-transcode to mpeg2. The latter process uses the Cyberlink mux on my system and the resultant mpeg2 files rarely have any problems. If I record direct to mpeg2 using the Cyberlink mux, however, I regularly have problems with the mpeg2 files glitching. It seems it works better for me on a smooth feed during transcode than when it's trying to cope with a live stream. Cheers, Brian

the software that comes with my video card doesn't seem to make recordings with proper timestamps - as they fail too.
Thanks bgowland -I'll give that a go.

so I've set it to do auto-convert - ie changed the drop down box in config. Do I need to do anything else? Can I force it?
