I ran graphedit on a standard definition video file (.mpg) and I get this:
show->mpeg2 demux->Cyberlink(PDVD7)->Video renderer
on the video portion which is what I expected.
Then I ran DVR-MS file through it and get this:
show->ffdshow->video renderer
What gives? What codec is it really using? Gspot gives me the same thing.
My goal was to play around with the codec so I can keep changing them until I find a stable one to play 1080i files on it. However, there's no .DVR-MS file type in ffdshow.
I've been told that DVR-MS is really mpeg. If that's true, how come it doesn't show up in any of these tools. And how can I change the codec if it feeds into ffdshow and goes into that black hole?
