Always seems to happen when I sit down with the kids
Always seems to be watching Mpegs recorded by GBPVR I took a look in the logs and it always seems to be
2008-03-01 08:05:20.750 VERBOSE [6] MVP waiting for data
2008-03-01 08:05:22.328 VERBOSE [6] MVP connection is gone.
in MVP-PVRX2.exe.log and/or
2008-03-01 07:48:48.609 VERBOSE [6] incremental frame sent
2008-03-01 07:48:48.609 VERBOSE [6] MVP data taking too long, connection must have been dropped!
which is in MVP-PVRX2.exe-1.log
Most of the other stuff that GBPVR does (Live TV and transcoding) works flawlessly
I don't have any other network problems but I realise that TCP-IP is designed to circumvent "hiccups" in the connection.
Basically PVRX2 crashes and normally "Restart Recording Service" gets it going again
I have tried re-installing everything from scratch and all the different dongles, I am now using the normal hauppauge dongle for MVP.
I have tried updating the firmware on my Router (Linksys WRT54GC)
Could it possibly be a dodgy RJ-11 connector, I had a few problems setting up the network in the first place, but all other connections work 100%
