Drat, Sirius uses ASF/ASX for their webstreams... so this won't work. Which was why WebRadio wasn't working right Sad

Would it be hard to incorporate these streaming types?

What am I doing wrong? The bat file did do what it said it would and the new info is in the right place in the config.xml file as well as the Plugin.WebRadio folder being shown in the Media directory.
Am I suppose to see the plugin listed in config? I don't. Rebooting didn't work either so I must have missed something simple.
I like this idea and usually use a gadget in Vista for web radio but really would like to try this.
Thanks

Paul

Found the problem. I went through all the folders and the webradio.dll was the only file not carried over but I don't know why. It's all good now.
Sorry for the bother.

Bump... since WMP already plays these file types, I can't imagine it would be that tough to add the capability. But then again, I'm not a plugin developer Big Grin

The plugin uses "WMP" functionality to play the streams, so I don't think there are any problems playing ASX files or ASF streams.
I will make a demo XML file that shows what is possible.

As I understand webradio is a replacement for netradio, so somebody using webradio will stop using netradio. Am I correct?
Mixman, you made an effort to create webradio instead of adapting netradio to your needs. You must have had a reason for it. What is it? What are the advantages of using webradio vs netradio?

Also, can GBPVR be used to record those radio streams? I know of some stations/programs I would like to listen to but they run at times which are inconvenient for me.

Thanks.

Hmmm, if that's the case, then something is causing WebRadio to exit back to the menu as soon as I enter it. I will post up a thread in the appropriate forum with logs.

No, WebRadio is not a replacement for NetRadio.
NetRadio parses the shoutcast website and presents the radiostations.
WebRadio reads a local XML file with radiostreams and presents it like MusicLibarary with icons or lists.
You have to make the XML file yourself....or download lists that other have made. WebRadio can not record the streams.

I don't know if Dinki still is using GBPVR, but his website would be perfect to generate XML files.
