Hi

I'm trying to get my Nova-T-500 working with GB-PVR v1.2.9 but I am having difficulty setting up the channels.

My problem appears to have occured before; that is, when I scan for channels I get the error message "No channels found. Please check your signal and configuration settings." despite having a preview window with a TV channel playing.

The solution to set <BDAScanType>2</BDAScanType> in the config.xml appears to have worked for other people with different cards, but when I searched in my config.xml file I couldn't find this setting, and adding it at the top of the BDA settings didn't work.

I've attached a zip of all the log files as I'm not sure which ones are relevent. Any help sorting this out would be much appreciated!

Run reregisterfilters.bat.

That setting hasnt been used by GB-PVR for at least a couple of years.

I had a similar problem that no channels were ever found, I later discovered that during the instillation the filters were not copied over and so did not install.

To fix this problem copy all ax files from the gbpvr instillation folder to your system32 folder ("C:\Windows\System32") and rerun the Re-RegisterFilters bat as suggested earlier.

Vista users need to run the bat with Administrator Privileges.

Hope this helps

no need to copy into system32...filters can be registered from any dir.. Big Grin
copying to system32 could break things on upgrade...[gbpvr won't know to replace those files in system32]

Indeed they can be registered from any directory, however the Re-RegisterFilters naturally looks in System32 unless you run it from a command prompt pointed to the directory that the filters are located.

Hi thanks for all the advice!

I ran the re-registerfilters.bat without moving any files and it seems to have worked - I now get a list of channels on the right hand side and have mapped them to the EPG channels.

If I run in to problems later then I'll try copying the files across, making a note of them so I can deal with them if necessary on upgrade, and see if that sorts it, but for now that problem seems to have been fixed.

Thanks!

reregister filters, if run normally from the start menu, "starts in" the gbpvr directory and will find all the files there.

This may just be a Vista issue then as when I ran the bat it couldn't locate the filters as it was looking in system32 instead of the instillation directory.

Glad you were able to fix your problems.
