I tried to get the TerraTec Cinergy S2 CI, DVB-S2, PCI-Card (http://www.terratec.net/de/produkte/Cine..._1891.html) working with GBPVR v1.2.9.

This device is not listet in GB-PVR, but it has BDA-drivers.

I added the capture card as described in http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...aptureCard

These are the new lines in the BDA.ini file:
[Terratec Cinergy S2]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=Cinergy S2 PCI Digital Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Cinergy S2 PCI Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

When I try to map the digital channels, the error message "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check ..." is displayed.

Has anyone an idea, what to do?

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log files? Also run the filtercheck.exe utility from the gbpvr directory, and attach the filtercheck.log it creates.

Yes I can. Please take a look at the attachment 'GB-PVR_logs_cetoy.zip'.

Thanks,

Try running ReRegisterFilters.bat, then try again.

Done. Same error message "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device ..."

The new logs.

I suspect its to do with this error:
Quote:2008-04-03 18:56:14.500 VERBOSE About to auto detect correct tuner filter
2008-04-03 18:56:14.500 VERBOSE Unabled to detect medium. Using GUID_NULL...

Its not a common error, but we've seen it a couple of times over the years. Try setting <BDAAutoDetectTuner> to 'false' in config.xml to see if it helps.

To be honest, I dont know. You sometimes get this error trying to connect the tuner and capture filters if the device is in use somewhere else in the system.

Thanks sub for your help. On monday I will recover the computer from a backup without any device drivers, install only this card and then we'll see.

I've used GB-PVR for more than 2 years on various systems (Athlon XP, x2, Pentium 4, Core2duo etc.) and capture cards (Hauppauge PVR 150, 350, Nova-t USB 2.0, Nova-t Stick) without any major problems. It's really great.

New day, new tests: The installation on a system without any capture card drivers and without a previous installed GB-PVR doesn't help.

Same error message "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device ..."

No ideas for a moment, but afterwards I downgraded GB-PVR to version 1.1.5. Surprise, surprise, now I'm able to map the digital channels. I don't know, if I will get a tv-picture, because I have no satellite connection at this area. I'll have to move the pc to my brother's flat.

More testing the next days.

Sub, do you need any logs?
