Hi, I'm trying to get gbpvr set up. My system is XPMCE, ASUS M2A-VM HDMI MB (using the integrated graphics), and a Leadtek DTV1000T Tuner. The Tuner works fine in Mediaportal (but with very poor quality picture) and with the Leadtek PVR software (which has a great picture but not many cool features, plus its a bit buggy). Anyway, my issue with this software arises when trying to configure the capture source. I've used both an XMLTV download and the broadcast EPG and it always crashes out at varying points when you map digital channels to EPG channels and it scans through the various channels. I tried altering the region (and even teh country) to Any region to see if that would fix it but it still crashes out at some point in the scan, usually after its found a few channels. Depending on what selections I've made, I either get an "Unheralded exception" or (more usually) it crashes out completely, usually just disappearing completely with no error message.

Obviously it's not far off working because when it is scanning the channels I can actually see the picture in the preview box.

I'm grateful for any help!

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Unfortunately I cant see anything obvious in the logs.

If you look in the config.exe-native.log after the scan crashes, is it always soon after the following message?

Finds the channel 9s, then SBS, then I get the windows error report message, then I notice it seems to find channel ten... by this stage though it's dead and the computer is frozen (other than for the error message).

To answer your question, this time the last line was
Verbose DirectShowPlayerBase:Confusedtop finished

I really like this one - it has a much nicer feel than a lot of the others I've played with.

Cheers,
-Travis

It looks like there is some data being received on that specific frequency that the app doesnt like. You probably have two options:

1) find the melbourne .\BDA\DVB-T\xxxx.ini file, and modify "T:C12,226500,0,0,7" to some invalid frequency to force it to not lock onto a signal. You'd be missing the channels from that frequency, but the others should work.
2) or, use a tool like DVB Dream or DVB Stream Explorer to capture a 50MB or so full transport stream from that frequency, then make it available to me a on a web server somewhere, and I'll download it and try running it here in the debugger.

Excuse my ignorance but how many channels would be on that frequency? Would it be for instance all of the channel 7 channels? Or would it just be one of them?

I'm not sure what they typically transmit on a single frequency in Oz. I wouldnt be surprised if it was everything channel 7 transmits.

I'm not sure why just you is having this problem. There is certainly several other aussies here.

Story of my life Smile I think the leadtek is probably not a bad card but the drivers suck. It seems to work well with stuff like Webscheduler but anything more complex it struggles with.

I'm not sure having the Asus board helps, seems to be a lot of issues with this board.

G'day

I recorded a transport stream like you asked:

http://hyperfileshare.com/d/07d08575

It seems to be ABC that's causing issues.

Cheers mate!
