Hi,

I have been meaning to get onto this problem and post it here for a while now. Sorry if this has been posted before.

The problem I'm having is whenever I try to tune to a channel in GB-PVR, I press the button 'watch', then the program tunes to the channel, when it does, I usually get a blank screen, with sound, but no picture, I then have to re-tune to the channel, and sometimes the problem occurs again. I have once had to do this about 6 times before it actually worked.

Any ideas?

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. Its most likely something to do with the decoder you're using.

errm, I will just have to attach the logs, there is no way of it changing settings.

Yes you can. You can change the decoder on the playback tab of the config app.

I'd also switching the audio decoder back to 'system default' aswell.

What other decoders have you tried?

Leave the audio renderer onr 'system default'.

I have no idea what "all of the decoders" are on your machine. You may only have two or three decoders that are known to be problematic. What decoders have you tried exactly?

"MPEG video decoder" is known to be a problem. "System default" is probably "MPEG video decoder". I'm not sure about the "ArcSoft Video decoder" so its probably worth downloading and installing a fairly reliable decoder combination like this:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPA_Decoder.htm

If those decoders dont work for you, then post a log showing these decoders being used and I'll take a closer look for you.
