Hauppauge remote without IR.exe?

There is an option in the GBPVR configuration to allow it to manage the remote control so you don't need to have the ir.exe software running.

Is anyone doing this and if so how did you get it to work?

It works ok for me without ir.exe running. I just set the direct access method in the config program.

works for me too, just set direct haupage access in the config and close ir.exe

Thanks for the feedback. Are any of you using the new 45 button remote? Also, do you still use the irremote.ini file to configure the buttons?

Thanks Tipstir. I have the 45 button remote working just fine with GBPVR. I am just trying to figure out how to use it without the ir.exe running so GBPVR doesn't have to have focus to control it.

Thanks again TipStir, but I am not having any problems with low system resources. I just want to be able to control GBPVR with the remote and not have the window have focus. It's an option in the GBPVR configuration that I want to check out.

If anyone has this working with the 45 button remote please let me know.

I have the 150 with th 45 button remote, and I can't get GB-PVR to work at all. It freezes if I use any buttons other than the directional buttons, it won't record from the 150 (says there is no card), and I can't run the remote without having every piece of software that came on the cd installed. Anyone have a solution?

What version of GB-PVR are you using and what are your system specs?
