yup, there's still work to be done, right now, rather than figuring out what's wrong with some program, WebGrab is quick to ditch it.

For now this behavior is by design, as such program's tend to mis-align and obfuscate other programs in the guide. So rather than having that happen, it will typically skip a program. Hence the 'empty blocks'. Usually the log file will tell you what was found wrong with the program.

Of course I will try & add some logic to fix that, but for now I've noticed that typically less interesting shows in the night or morning seem to have such issues.

Did you check the logfile?

I'm not sure if I understand your request regarding the days. By default webgrab will download the whole week, but the config file allows for example to grab for only the next 3 days. There's a commented section in the config file that explains it. Is this what you are referring to?

Hans, I just checked the example you gave: 'de 100' has downloaded just fine here. I'm really interested now what might have happened. Would it be possible to get me the logfile?

Here's the logfile:

Wrt the days to download: What I meant is: Don't download all 7 days every day (only the first time), but e.g. download day 1 (today) day 2 (tomorrow) and day 7.
That means you only have to download 3 days instead of 7, but you have a full week epg all the time. You download day 1 and 2 to make sure you got the latest changes in the programming. I hope I made myself clear.Sad

I've reviewed the log, I see:

Description : Eva krijgt het slechte nieuws dat haar moeder met ademhalingsproblemen in het AZB is opgenomen. Kyra raakt zeer teleurgesteld in Daan.

So 'de 100' does get downloaded, however, in the second phase, when it's time to write it to disk as xml the log shows:

Writing: 1 20080429153500 20080429160000 ONM
Writing: 1 20080429170100 20080429171100 Adriaan

It's like 'De 100' was never there. Now this would be easy to solve, if I could figure out why this is not happening on my server... Looks like I've got something to investigate...

I think I get what you are saying about the 1,2,3-7 days. I'll give it some thought...

Good call Hans, I've found the bug you referred to. Turns out I was a little bit 'trigger happy' in my logic on skipping erroneous shows. I also skipped writing the show previous to the one with the negative status.

This bug was introduced while fixing the CNN bug.

The reason I did not experience this was that I was still running the older version, since I never downloaded CNN anyway... This should teach me to eat my own dogfood...;-)

Thanks for pointing it out! The 1.4 version fixing the bug can be found at the link in the first post of this thread.

I was pointed out that the .xml file did not contain sub-titles. I have just released version 1.5 to get that included. No further additions or bug-fixes.
