Whenever I run GB-PVR and try to go to the guide or watch live TV, it tells me that no channels are set up. It tells me to run the Configuration Utility and setup the EPG source, and to use the update EPG button to force the update. When I run the configuration utility and go to Capure Sources and click edit for my main source, the EPG source is XMLTV Plugin. I used YApi2XML to configure the EPG. There are clearly a bunch of channels at the bottom of this configuration box, all of which are enabled. I've clicked on Update EPG and it tells me that it is updated. I then click OK twice to exit the configuration. However, if I run GB-PVR.exe I get the same message. If I try to run PVRX2, go to TV Guide, I can see all the listings. However, when I click on one listing and press enter and then choose watch, the window goes black momentarily and then returns to the guide (I don't hear or see any video). Can anybody help me out with this problem?

I'm running Windows Vista Business Edition and my tuner is an HP Expresscard TV Tuner PCMCIA (using a Hauppauge tuner in it).

EDIT: When I try to Update EPG from GB-PVR itself, it just says "Initializing EPG Update" under "Version:" and then this text goes away and it seems nothing happens (or at least the error remains). Running the Tuning Assistant finds all of these channels as well, but when I run GB-PVR I still get the same error....

Try deleting the hidden "c:\users\<your account>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz" directory.

Thanks for the help. Now it says:
Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object when I try to watch live TV. Is this because my MPEG-2 Decoder is set to MPV Decoder Filter? I tried System Default but that didn't help. I don't have any of the Decoders in the following list:

* InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge
* NVIDIA Video Decoder
* CyberLink Video/SP Decoder
* Elecard Mpeg2 Video Decoder
* MainConcept MPEG Video Decoder
* Sonic Cinemaster DS Video Decoder

Where can I download a Decoder (for free) that will work with GBPVR?

Its probably not to do with the decoder.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Okay, I attached the logs. I wasn't able to attach 2 of them, though:

GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log
GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log

It said they were still in use for some reason (even though I shut down GBPVR and didn't see it in the Task manager).

If you want to zip those logs, you can always take a copy of the files, and the attach the "Copy of blabla" instead.
I'm not always right

Given this:
Code:
2008-04-24 19:55:26.683    ERROR    [1]    Unexpected error: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   at ConnectFilters(IBaseFilter* pFilterUpstream, IBaseFilter* pFilterDownstream)
I would try running "ReRegisterFilters.bat" while waiting for Sub to get back to you.

I tried this but I got an error from RegSvr32:

The module "GBPVRParser.ax" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with the error code 0x80070005.

For more information about this problem, search online using the error code as a search term.

It said the same thing for following modules:
PsiParser.ax
GBPVRFlowStatus.ax
asyncflt.ax
GBPVRWriter.ax
WSTSRTAnalog.ax
WSTSRTDigital.ax
DVBSubtitles.ax
netasyncflt.ax
GBPVRTSMux.ax

Yeah, I ran that first when I went to install the program. It started pacaking Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 briefly and then the progress bar went all the way to the right and it seemed like it was done. I'm assuming it worked as it was supposed to.
