for some reason i can't install my pvr150 on a new build...
any ideas? it looks ok in device mgr.
running mce2005sp2. other cards working fine in this machine..
tried latest drivers from hp and shs...same..
weird error in logs..

You can ignore that message you quoted above, its just a normal part of the media type negotiation.

What happens when you try to do a recording? Do you get a file of non-zero size?

0 byte recordings...no errors tho...livetv only black...
loaded the graph in graphedit, same thing..
drivers seem to load fine...hope it didn't fry on me..[my original card]

i have another machine already setup for it, think i'll try it in there to see if it's still ok...[or is it's just this machine/win/mb]

i'll try scanning for channels too...

Does the device seem to be working in the Tuning Assistant?

How about WinTV?

what's the hardware id of a typical pvr150? i know there are diff types..
i'm getting PCI\VEN_0008&DEV_0016&SUBSYS_80030060&REV_01\4&122329E2&0&50F0

-for some reason in the other machine that used to be setup for it..
not looking good...Sad
checked drivers, they use vendor 4444 and the rest same..but subsys_80030060

I dont know, and I dont have a PVR150 in a machine here to check for you.

put it back in new machine, [tried it in main pvr] and now it has correct hw id...
but still just black video...Sad
running antenna check now...just black...i think it be fried..:eek:

seems to run fine with gbpvr...just nothing comes out..
can change channels...everything...timeshift bombs eventually cuz no file size growth..

You might need to try the Hauppauge WinTV software.

oh trust me i tried...less results there...just black screen...
tried all the different versions too...thought i was doing something wrong..never had this much trouble ever.
pretty sure it's toast...will try again later but it doesn't look good..

well, at least it's enough for me to still grab the guide from MCE with...
[mce still sees it as an analog card tho it doesn't work]
graphs looked fine, still played black screen..no matter the input [tuner/svideo]
