Hello,
I'm having a lot of fun working out the kinks with my GB-PVR setup, however this particular situation has me baffled.

I'm using rabbit ears from Belle River to get some signals from Detroit while I work out the kinks.

My Problem:
I've subscribed to SchedulesDirect. My Antenna gets PBS which in GB-PVR is Tuning Request T:43,56,1. However, instead of the guide showing me the correct show for what is on this channel, it shows me what is on Detroit PBS channel 56.
For reference, here is the link that shows the PBS channels in my area.
http://www.pbs.org/tvschedules/index.htm...code=48333

For example, at 8pm on May 1st, GB-PVR Live TV displays the show Nature (Penguins) for 56.1 but the guide says it is This Old House which is 56.
Changing the Tuning request to 56,56,1 causes the channel to not come in obviously...but i don't think that's the right thing to do anyway.
I clicked on Map Digital channels to EPG channels and rescanned my channels. it does not correct the situation.
What do I have to do to get the right TV Guide to show for this channel?
Thanks for your time.

My ATSC tuner picks up 3 channels from PBS. They are WTVS-HD 56.1, WTVS-SD 56.2 (this one is also what people still watching analog channels will see) and WTVSSD2 56.3. In other words PBS is the only Detroit OTA station which has different programs on analog and digital channels. You are looking at EPG for analog and watching digital or the other way around. Match them and you will have EPG for all 3 of them.

Sorry if i don't understand correctly, but what by you said, I went and changed the Tuning request in GB-PVR from T:43,56.1 to T:43,56.2 and T:43,56.3, and updated epg as I went, but still got Penguins, when it should be the show Carrier (11pm, May 1st now).

What I meant by "but still got Penguins, when it should be the show Carrier (11pm, May 1st now)." is that the guide shows Carrier, but when I go to that channel, it shows Penguins.

Did you figure it out yet?
If not, maybe answering this question will help you out:
-How many PBS channels do you have listed in your EPG list?

First, you should not have periods in the tuning string. Second, simply changing those secondary and tertiary values does nothing. You would need to change the ~V and ~A values. Unless you know exactly what the PID numbers are for the video and audio streams, it would be best to go into "Map digital channels to EPG channels" and find the correct entry.

If you zip and post your SCAN*.cache files, I can probably give you the correct tuning string.

Rob11252, Wtvs shows up once on my EPG list. picture attached.

whurlstond, i do have commas instead of periods. I mistyped that.
-anntennaweb.org shows what WTVS channels I should be getting in my area.
-digitalchannelmapping shows what GBPVR config is finding when I click on "map digital channels to epg channels".
-epglist.jpg shows the wtvs channel there.
-pbs.org shows what should be on a 7:30 (live TV showed History Detectives, but guide showed BBC world news.
and finally, i included the only *.cache file in the gbpvr folder.

Thanks again for any help.

Update. I changed the tuning request to 43,56.1 and updated EPG listings but still got the wrong channel. so the image above where you see 43,56,3, it is currently set to 43,56,1 on my machine.

I'm not sure how you got those funny tuning requests there. Did you manually type them in instead of clicking the tuning request dropdown and selecting from the list of channels found? If so, it should all sorts of extra information.

Morser, you are almost there.

I would suggest that you clear up all your entries in Edit Recording Source page and start from the beginning. First of all you have to find an EPG source which would list EPG for all the channels you are interested in including at least 2 for PBS. They are: WTVSDT (this is what you will see on 56.1) and WTWS (this is what you will see on 56.2 or 56 analog)

After that you have to hit "Update EPG" button first and then "Map digital channels to EPG channels" (I believe) and Digital Channel Mapping page should show up. It should list all the channels of interest in Channel Name column and Tuning Request column should be empty. Now, don't type anything in Tuning Request column. Instead, click in one of the boxes and then hit the down arrow. A list of all the channels picked up by your tuner will show up. For WTVSDT choose 56.1 ...., just like it shows in jpg. The program will put in the correct values for you! After a minute you should be done with all channel names using this method. Hit OK and enjoy.
