I noticed a problem when recording 2 consecutive shows. I only have 1 tuner, and somthing haoppens in the second show where it seems to stop recording, and i can not play back the file that has been recorded. It is as if the file got corrupted. I have had this happen twice and am not sure what might be causing it. I record directly to mpeg and am affraid that it could have something to do with the muxes.

Has anyone else had this problem,

Thanks

Sub,

Sorry to bother you on this, but just wanted to know if you have had a chance to look at the logs,

It seems to happen when there are to consecutive recordings. I am not sure what is happening here, but the program records, but i just can not play them back, each time i try to access the file it crashes explorer, the weird part is i have been able to stream the files to my PCH through myihome no problem. I have tried to use both the ATI and the Cyberlink mux, both yield similar results

Any ideas, i am stuggling here, this does not happen when i just record one show, and will be testing it tonight to see if it happens when recording 2 shows that are separated by a no recorded time slot

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide, or if anyone has a similar problem as was able to fix please let me know

THanks

I seem to recall this that means that gbovr is having problems with the video card.

What graphics card do you have?

If the recordings streams ok to the PCH, it is either a problem with your graphics card, mpeg decoder or the recording has badly broken timestamps (what tuner do you have)

I have an Abit Siluro FX5200 DT, (128 MB) AGP 8x Video Card

Not sure that the video card is the problem as i am able to record other shows and all of them seem to be playing back fine, the problems seem to occur when i have 2 consecutive recordings then everything seems to get messed up, and i can no longer play back the files on my computer, and trying to access them crashes explorer for a few seconds, i have to go into gbpvr to delet the file

I cant see anything obvious in your logs. Its interesting the files play fine on your PCH - this makes me think there is nothing wrong with the recording, but instead some playback problem on your machine.

When you say it crashes explorer, what are you trying to play the files with? WMP? Does the same thing happen if you play the files in PVRX2?

I get the same results in both PVRX2 and WMP. The files will not play, i changed the mpeg decoder but didnt get and different results. do you think that this could have something to do with the video card as gEd suggested. The file simply seems to be corrupted

Also is there a way to change the mpeg decoder in WMP, i have another issue where i can play a file back i gbpvr but it stutters in WMP, i am assuming this is because i found a decoder to work in Gbpvr and it does not get used in WMP. The wierd thing about this all is that everything works fine in single recording mode. I get perfect playback and perfect recordings.
