UPDATE:
I'm a dummy. It's not allowed yet, according the WIKI at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...cess#toc4:
"To do: Allow for paths other than Defaults"
Ok, time to dig up an old version...
-----------------------------------------------

Hi Guys.

I just recently fixed a bad install of GB-PVR, and so I downloaded the latest revision of ZPROCESS (zprocess2.exe dated 4/4/2008).

I've got my program files tucked under
d:/program files/devnz/GBPVR

but when I run the zprocess2.exe for the first time, I get the strange popup:
76 Path not found

I click through it once, and the program prompts me for finding the recordings directory, THEN AGAIN "76 Path not found" pops up. Click through that, and the familiar paths dialog box pops up.

I can locate all I need, BUT the first line "GB-PVR Path:" shows:
C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR
and it's grey out. I cannot double-click it to reset the path to d:.

I can't find a registry setting to manually correct this.

Ideas?

When GB-PVR is installed it stores a key showing its own location. ZProcess reads that key and then loads the config.xml from that location to get certain variables...

It seems that GB-PVR hasn't stored the correct value. Perhaps you moved the folder without reinstalling correctly.

I won't be changing that. ZProcess will only run with a correctly (not fudged) installation. You can still install it most anywhere, it's just without the correct path in the registry, ZProcess is lost...

Every other function in my GBPVR works fine, and I've searched the registry for any incorrect key values. Can you point out which registry key it's evaluating exactly?

Thx,
Dave

Hrm. Still can't get it to behave, and the registry shows the install path correct.

Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the next OS reinstall, and upgrade to WinXP from Win2k...

Thanks anyways,
Dave

Neither the gbpvr default location nor the recordings directory are correctly found. I get the 76 error (path not found) for gbpvr (which is in C:\Programme\devnz\gbpvr, correctly stored in registry) and recordings directories (which is correctly stored in config).

I have been running 1.213 for while and tried to install zprocess2 for the first time.

Any help is appreciated.

K. Well I'll look at it. Have to say that the code uses whatever is the localized 'Program Files' folder registered on your computer, so I don't know why, but give me a couple of days...

I'm also getting this on the latest available release on the wiki. I just thought it was due to GBPVR being on a drive other than C: (I have GBPVR on E:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr since E: is my default drive in Windows).

Thanks for helping Frank Z.
My PVR:
Dell 400sc (really good choice since it's quiet)
P4 2.8ghz
1gb ddr400
PVR150MCE
PVR150
PVR250
Radeon 9600
300+40gb
GBPVR v1.2.13
