automatic epg udate fails

After reading on the forums I found what logs to look into for the problem.

gbpvr 1.0.29

I run a batch file @ 1:00 and 1:30 to download epg data, have gbpvr set to update epg @ 2:00. Never works, I can right click on tray icon and choose update epg, works fine, I can update from inside config, works fine.

logs say:

The file is there, permissions are set for that pc to have full control.

What am I doing wrong?

Instead of running the batch file at 1 and 1:30 seperately, try placing it in your devnz\gbpvr folder and name it UpdateEpg.bat

GPVR will run the UpdateEpg.bat before any EPG update.

it's probably cuz the recording service is trying to access that net share, which it usually can't do, unless service is set to login under a user instead of 'network service' as net service doesn't have access rights to net drive..

setup recording service to login as a user should solve it..[must have password,can't be blank]

or try accessing it using a net path...eg: \\server\share\file.xml

use update epg from system menu inside gbpvr to test..works same as scheduled updates mostly..
