Stop key during playback gives blank screen.

I've only just started playing with the PCH, so please have patience if there are a number of questions that I can't seem to find with a search.

All working well and once you have the box in your hand and connected, the instructions make sense (unlike when I was just reading them).

My current problem is that when I press "stop" during playing back a recording, the screen goes blank, there is a quick flash and back to black again. I can't seem to make any keys do anything at this point.

Telnet is still running and I can send a reboot command that does what it says (which saves getting up and unplugging it).

I don't know if there are any suitable logs that may be of use?

Just tried letting a recording play to the end and the same happens - blank screen.

update, moments after posting...... Just found out that pressing "return" takes it back to the gbpvr menu from the blank screen. So not as awkard as I first thought.

Update: - interestingly, it works fine on Live TV selected from the TV Guide - stop goes back to the main gbpvr menu. Still blank screen from playing a recording.

martin123 that sounds like one of the issues in 1.2.9 that required a patch which would be resolved in 1.2.13. If you wait 10 seconds you should see a screen refresh.

Thanks for that - I'm running 1.2.13. I'll try then in around an hour when I get access to the machine again. I thought I'd waited a bit, but I guess 10 seconds is like infinity when waiting.

I gave it a couple of minutes and still sat at the blank screen after STOP pressed during a recording. With Return, returning, it's liveable with.

I'll give it a further play to get more accustomed to the interface and remote.

I must say it's an impressive bit of work - both the hardware and your software.

If you compress your logs and upload them I will have a look. If you are running 1.2.13 then it's not the patch issue. Also don't hit Return during a play, you could easily crash mpvmcx2.

The PCH is potentially great hardware, I hope we can maximize use of it.
