Is it possible to use the following key in the config.xml in the MVP section for my popcorn hour?

<MVPTranscodeMPG>false</MVPTranscodeMPG>

I have been using the ATI mux that outputs .mpg files. Trying to play those from the GBPVR menu causes my popcorn hour to crash. I can play them fine from a shared directory. Alternatively, I could use .TS, but I have had stuttering problems with that on my PC.

I could just try it out, but I'm here now... Smile.

I would doubt it, also I don't think the popcorn requires MPG transcoding since it can handle those files natively...

So you can play an mpg file using the native popcorn interface, but not through gbpvr interface..

Sounds strange..

Could you compress and upload your gbpvr logs when you fail trying one of these files and I will have a look? If you can play it from a share with the PCH then it should be able to be played via GPBVR/mvpmcx2. mvpmx2 doesn't have a native play it sends it to the same program that the PCH uses.

Here they are. At ~11.10 last night, I tried to play a recording of Lost. I ended up rebooting a few times since then, so it isn't the current log ( it looks like it is the -2 log). Many times I get to the "buffering" screen on the popcorn hour and it becomes unresponsive to the remote. Occasionally, it will exit out. Most of the time, however, I have to pull the plug.

I was just wondering if my PC was trying to transcode an mpeg file even though it doesn't need to. The survival guide doesn't specifically have a line for *.mpg.

Thanks!

You have the following error in the Recording Service logs which typical means you have not told the recording service to interact with the desktop.

Code:

It seems to get unchecked with every new install now. That is why sub has it on the main survival guide.

That's probably why. I've been working on this setup for at least 6 weeks. I haven't been in much hurry, so I haven't wanted to bother you guys. I must have checked the box and THEN upgraded when the last version came out. I finally got frustrated enough to post.

Thanks for the great work!
