hello,

I scheduled a show to record and picked Divx has the preferred transcode.

In config (processing tab) I see that it's scheduled to perform these actions between 1am and 6am.

Auto convert DVR-MS is still set to "No converstion".

1. Will it convert my selected recordings above to Divx?

2. Does this Auto convert option in config convert EVERYTHING to Divx?

3. When reviewing all the recurring recordings, it's not possible to see or change your preferred transcoding. Is there a place to do this?

Thanks.

Are you still talking about the processing tab? If so, then all new recordings should be converted.

If you're talking about the option that shows up when you schedule a season recording, that doesnt do anything. It was never completed. You can hide the option by setting <ShowTranscodeDuringSchedule>false</ShowTranscodeDuringSchedule> in config.xml

Quote:2. Does this Auto convert option in config convert EVERYTHING to Divx?
All new recordings.

Quote:3. When reviewing all the recurring recordings, it's not possible to see or change your preferred transcoding. Is there a place to do this?
As mentioned above, that setting isnt functional.

No problem. Thanks. I'll convert it all.

If the quality is noticably different i'll search for how to change the transcoding settings (suggest adding that to processing tab Smile

This program is great! Thank you sub.

I configured it to transcode to divx between 1am and 11am. It doesn't look like any recordings were converted.
Do I need the full version of DivX for it to work?

Log attached.

I see the note in config about needing a Cyberlink or ATI mpeg Mux to convert DVR-MS files. on Misc2 Tab, ATI MPEG MUX is listed there, so i assumed I have what i need?

(why does the log state converting to .mpg? is that the extension of a .Divx file?)

The first step remux the .dvr-ms file to a .mpg file, which can then be converted to other file types. This remuxing step requires the Cyberlink mux to installed.

Hi.

Powerdvd doesn't contain the mux. I think you need authoring software such as Powerdirector or Powercinema for the recording mux.

Thanks in advance for any help,

you may need to read these threads to get some more info, use the mux checker program provided with GBPVR to make sure it has been registered with windows see below thread if it has not been.
