I am trying to access the web admin from my Sprint Centro. I get to the login page enter my user name and password - hit login - and then it comes back and says my user name or password are incorrect.

The login works fine when i am on the local network with another computer.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Well it looks like it is either the sprint service or the blazer browser in the centro. I have found several other things that are not working correctly. I am going to try and load netfont browser and see how that works. I will probably post back Sunday or Monday if i come up with anything further.

Another thing i need to know is what url would i put into my streaming player once i start streaming from the web gui. The pop up for launch external player does not do anything on the palm device so i need a url to directly access the stream once it is started. This is more for my Palm TX on the local network as the rest of the web admin works on that device. I will probably try that also this weekend from outside the lan to see if i can log on with that device.

You will need full java script support in the browser since there is an encryption routine that is used to pass the id/pwd back to the server.

Is there any way around this? I have a LG Voyager from Verizon which says it has a "full HTML" browser, but it apparently doesn't support full javascript b/c I get the same thing as bstedh. It isn't a "smartphone" so I can't change the browser. I've had a few times that I wanted to schedule something from away from home and had only my phone with me.

Thanks

try opera mini. http://www.operamini.com/ they have a version for most mobile phones. I can access webadmin fine with this running on a sony k800 - which is definitely not a very smart phone.
the only quirk is that the browser needs to refresh the page in between entering the username and password. If you enter your details too quickly without letting it refresh it won't work.

Unfortunately, opera mini won't work for me. This phone from Verizon (the LG Voyager) doesn't let you install a different browser at all. Unless it's a true smart phone or blackberry, you can't install anything that isn't in their limited "Get it Now" catalog.

Sorry, I don't really know your phone - but does it not have any way other way to add 3rd party games or apps? On my sony it's not really changing the default browser, but adding opera as a standalone app. - you can just stick the j2me file on to the memory stick in the applications folder and it's there when you navigate to it. Is there an equivalent to this on your LG?
What happens if you go to the opera site and get it to send you an sms link to opera mini. Does it block the download?

Nope -- Verizon is notorious for locking down their phones so that you cannot add unapproved applications. I imagine there are hacks to get around it, but that's beyond me. Opera's site specifically says that Opera Mini "is not available to Verizon Wireless subscribers (other than BlackBerry users) yet. Please subscribe for an email notification when we have a version available for Verizon customers." So, that's out for me.

I was wondering if there is a way around the encryption. The browser in this phone actually works really well for most things, but it doesn't have full javascript. I can't remember now if it's possible to not have a username and password for EWA. I could put it on a really bizarre port so that noone else would find it. Just a thought.

you can allow IP addresses into the webadmin without a password (config tab near the top) - but you might have to allow a whole block through as I guess your phone gets assigned a dynamic IP when it connects to the network. You need to do a bit of experimenting to find out what range of addresses you get - but could find that you need to open your machine up to everyone with a verizon phone.

The only other thing I can think of is to use your laptop or a pda connected through your phone. Much easier to browse the EWA, but I guess not really that handy carting a bag of electronics round with you wherever you go!
