Some users have had problems with the web server not starting for them, and found they needed to go into Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, then view the properties for GB-PVR Recording Service, and set it to 'allow service to interact with desktop', then restart the service. Give that a go then try again.

Good to hear it works on the HDX900.

Hi Alex, I'm glad you are giving this a try.

If it is only two seconds it might be something other then the interaction, the timeout for the web server is usually long, more like 30 seconds.

I would also check your config.xml to make sure that you identify yourself as a PCH (I know you are not not) GBPVR might be trying to make a temp file. If you don't have C:\TEMP I would suggest making it and trying again.

thanks guys,

after enabling the "allow service to interact with desktop" i got it working. Smile

its a nice experience to navigate the HDX with another menu system, i been testing almost all the feature and its working fine.

any interesting feature that i should look at beside video, photo and music playback?

Good news. The only things I'd like to confirm is that the power off takes you back to the normal mode and that DVD's play here is a basic instruction

http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=8

and here is a post to an update for DVD play.

http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=28

I wouldn't mind if you compressed and attached your GBPVR logs too, to see that everything look ok.

Yes the script.cgi has to be edited to match the location of your dvd iso or video_ts folders there is no autodiscovery. In the best case GBPVR can see the files with Windows share and the PCH can see them locally or via NFS (changing the mount command).

That's should be fine for this. Most of the updates on the server side are for the capture side which is not relevant to what you are looking at.

something werid happen, i see multiple colored square with sigma design word across the screen? i manage to exit by hitting the stop button.

btw, the power button sends the player back to NMT browser.

i keep tweaking and will report back
